First Surgery of A Premature Baby in Hospital Kuala Lipis

In line with the spirit of Global Surgery, the Paediatric Surgical team from Hospital Tengku Ampuan Azizah (HTAA), Kuantan has successfully organized and performed a surgery in a premature neonate in Hospital Kuala Lipis on the 3rd of March 2025. This would not have been possible without the teamwork offered by the Paediatric and Anaesthetic team in Hospital Kuala Lipis. 

Hopefully more similar work can be done in the future to facilitate surgery for sick neonates in the rural setting whom safe transfer may be challenging. This may also save already limited beds in the NICU of a tertiary hospital.
