The 2nd Global Surgery Conference Malaysia 2025, themed “Forging Ahead: Bridging Gaps in Global Surgery,” will take place from 9–11 July 2025 at Hilton Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The conference aims to address disparities in surgical care, especially in underserved regions, and will bring together healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to foster collaboration and innovation aligned with the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery.
While the only pediatric surgery-focused talk is on the challenges of performing neonatal surgeries in Sabah, many other sessions will still be relevant to general pediatric surgical practice. The event features scientific presentations, poster sessions, and a video competition, with inclusive registration for both local and international participants. It underscores Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to equitable surgical care for all populations.
