Inaugural Lecture UM: Prof Shireen Anne Nah

The first part of Prof Shireen’s lecture covers her personal journey from birth at Universiti Malaya and her eventual return to head the Paediatric Surgical Unit in Univesiti Malaya. She shares her experiences and the challenges she faced.

The second part of her lecture revolves around the theme of sustainability: enhancing patient care to improve lifelong quality of life, strengthening her team to enable distributive leadership, and ensuring continuity of care without reliance on a single individual, advocating for practices in the operating theater that safeguard the environment, aiming for a sustainable future for generations to come.
